Dennis Scoops Three Digital PPA Awards


Dennis Publishing was last night awarded three Digital PPA Awards, in recognition of its outstanding work in the digital publishing field: 

 Advertising Sales Team of the Year (consumer) - Dennis Interactive Ad Sales Team

Judges Comments : The judges commended this team’s very clear strategy and execution, resulting in impressive year-on-year growth, demonstrating the commercial understanding and effectiveness of the team. The judges thought this a great example of building on existing business and having the confidence to launch, with a small team, in a niche market, and in a difficult climate

Julian Lloyd-Evans, MD of Advertising at Dennis Publishing, said: ““it is fantastic to be recognised in 3 areas. I am delighted that both the advertising and the tech and design team won their categories as their joint efforts and co operation have produced some outstanding products and campaigns over the last  3 years. The Week iPad edition is another example of the innovation and  quality of work that we can produce and we are very proud of that team.  To win 3 of the 9 awards last night shows that we are meeting the challenges of this 21st century marketplace and is something that everyone at Dennis can be proud of”

Judges Comments : Dennis Publishing approached this title with real intelligence to produce an elegant, focussed digital edition that has delivered a strong return on investment. By putting the business model ahead of the technology, they have gone on to create something that truly stands out from the competition

  • IT Development Team Of The Year - Dennis Interactive Tech & Design Team, Dennis Publishing 

Judges Comments : The Dennis Interactive Tech & Design Team has used competitor experience to their advantage by entering the digital arena at a late stage. The judges were impressed by their use of open-source solutions and sensible technology as well as their development methodology, utilising a clean and agile approach.
