Dennis Success at PPA Customer Direct Awards

: Dennis Publishing’s Direct Marketing team has been awarded two prestigious awards at the PPA Customer Direct Awards. The awards are designed to recognise excellence in subscriptions marketing and customer service, and the Dennis Direct Marketing Team proved they are at the forefront of subscriptions marketing by being awarded the following gongs:
Direct Mail Campaign Of The Year – The Week: The Direct Mail campaign’s objective was to achieve profitable subscriptions, as well as promote The Week through sampling, making sure that these were still “ABC’able” copies. The team achieved this with testing offers, creative and lists.
The judges commented, “The objectives of the campaign were clearly set and properly measured. They made the cold channel work for them using third party data extensively, and the creative and copy delivered a strong message in support of the brand.”
Best Use Of Data – Lead Generation campaign, Dennis Publishing portfolio: This campaign transferred successful offline direct marketing practices of sampling to online. The team generated requests for free copies of several Dennis titles including The Week magazine through emails, banners and voucher sites.
The judges commented, “The team showed innovation and determination to constantly evolve its campaigns to ensure the results were the best that they could be, and achieved huge success”.
Dennis also received a ‘Highly Commended’ award in the much coveted Team of the Year category.
Direct Marketing Director Lucy Davis said, “The team has worked hard over the past year in tough trading conditions to relentlessly drive subscriptions across a wide variety of channels. Their drive and ambition to be the best at what they do has seen them continue to test and maximise every opportunity presented. I am extremely proud that the team’s hard work has been recognised with these prestigious awards.
