Maxim UK Print Edition To Become Online Only Brand London, 2nd April, 2009: Maxim is the best-selling men's lifestyle magazine in the world and continues to expand its reach and dominance of the young male market. Dennis Publishing today announces that the June issue of Maxim UK, on sale 23rd April, will be the final issue to be published in print in the UK. Dennis Publishing will continue to run Maxim.co.uk, the successful online companion of Maxim UK. In answer to the consumer demand for Maxim content online, Dennis Publishing will be bolstering the online editorial team in order to develop more content with increased up-to-date, interactive and entertainment news.
Additionally, Dennis Publishing will now become the sole importer of the US edition of Maxim and will supply copies to both the UK newsstands and to subscribers. Current subscribers in the UK will receive the option of subscribing to the US edition or other Dennis Publishing men’s lifestyle titles.
Dennis Publishing now holds the digital-only rights to publish the brand in the UK, which is licensed by Alpha Media Inc. who acquired the Maxim trademark in August 2007.
Since its launch in 1995, the award-winning Maxim brand has addressed the real-life needs of intelligent, professional, 20-something men in an entertaining and informative way. The brand quickly became the biggest-selling men's lifestyle property in the world.
The Maxim UK website, which launched in 1999, has developed one of the internet's most loyal set of users and currently registers 500,000 unique users per month and 8.2 million page impressions per month. The website also has 260,000 subscribers to its weekly email newsletter.
