Working At Dennis: The Benefits

The Benefits

We think life at Dennis is pretty rewarding. In addition to a fantastic opportunity to blaze your own trail and the personal and career development to make sure you make the most of it, we also offer the following:

YOUR Reward

YOUR Reward is the Company's online benefits platform where you can access hundreds of savings and discounts as well as manage your own core and flexible benefit choices. We have an exciting and diverse range of benefits that cater for a variety of different lifestyle choice, all of which can be accessed thorugh the online portal.

Back to the future
We know, retirement seems like a long way off, but we want to help you prepare for it all the same. We provide a private pension scheme to which we contribute alongside you, as well as independant advice about pensions from an expert to help you make the best decisions.

YOUR Wellbeing
We place a great deal of improtance on health, happiness and motivation levels and provide a selection of wellbeing benefits such as a company funded medical cash plan where you can claim on every day healthcare expenses such as dental or opticians fees. Onsite heatlh screening  (you MOT your car, so why not your health?) and access to private medical insurance to ensure you get the best treatment  (and without the waiting lists) should you ever need it.

HealthCare - plan for the unexpected….
Long term illness can effect anyone at any time and usually when least expected. Mindful of the distress and potential financial burden of long tem illness we have in place voluntary critical illness cover in addition to automatic membership of permanent health insurance and group life assurance, so if the unexpected should happen, you can be safe in the knowledge that you and your family are provided for.

New arrivals
Lots of companies provide the minimum when it comes to maternity leave. Here at Dennis we like to be a little more generous, so we offer up to 26 weeks maternity leave paid at 90% of your weekly salary, depending on length of service. This is, of course, in additions to the statutory paternity, parental and adoption leave provided as standard. To help your return you can also apply for childcare and nursery vouchers to help with the expense of looking after the new arrival.

Getting around
To help with getting around a bit easier, you can apply for a season ticket loan to cover the cost of public transport. This means you pay less, which means you have more money to spend in the shops, bars and restaurants that surround our offices!

We also facilitate the governments Cycle to Work scheme so you can buy a brand new bike and accessories of your choice at 40 - 50% off normal high street prices.

Giving something back
Payroll Giving is a quick and easy way to donate to charity. Your donation will be deducted from your salary and what's great about this scheme is that the tax man doesn't take a penny from your donation making it the most tax efficient way to donate regularly.

Getting away from it all
Let’s face it, who doesn’t love a holiday? You will have 28 days fully paid holiday entitlement to get away from it all each year. On top of this, on reaching your fifth anniversary at the Company you get an additional six weeks – fully paid – sabbatical. Just enough time to fit in that trip of a lifetime.

And our Chairman likes to help us get away from it all, too. Each year four employees are chosen by their colleagues to win our Employee of the Year award. The prize? A week’s all-expenses-paid trip for you and a friend to his home on the private Caribbean island of Mustique. As holidays go, that takes some beating.

It’s all You, You, You!
Dennis has two assets – its brands and its people. And the only reason for the success of our brands is our people. It follows that we think your personal and career development is pretty important. You will have regular performance reviews (appraisals) and access a comprehensive development programme that includes a wide range of in-house and external training courses.

As a Company we invest in our stars of the future, we have a coaching programme in place that is dedicated to developing our future leaders. Our Chief Executive began life at Dennis as a Features Editor and we want to believe each person we recruit could be the next one.
