We are delighted to announce that Cyclist have won their 17th award to date, crowned on Friday 23rd February as ‘Cycling Consumer Magazine of the Year’ at the BikeBiz Awards 2018.

Now in their tenth year, the BikeBiz Awards celebrate the UK cycle industry and honour the people and companies who work tirelessly behind the scenes, from local independent shops to giant online retailers, from distributors to trainers. The awards took place this year at The Bridge ExCel in London. The competition was fierce, with other groups competing for the coveted award including Velorution, ProCycling, Singletrack Magazine, Rouleur, Casquette, MBUK & MBR.

Over the past year, Cyclist have gone from strength to strength, gaining two more international licenses, doubling their web traffic, increasing their social following and launching an online merchandise shop. In 2017, Cyclist produced a 260-page anthology called The Rides, bringing together 32 of the best European rides and finest photography from the pages of Cyclist magazine. Following the huge success of the events in 2017, the team relaunched their Cyclist Track Days series, nationally expanded this year to include more brands, more bikes and more locations.

Dharmesh Mistry, Publishing Director of Dennis Lifestyle, said “Cyclist has continued to develop its passionate following across various platforms, whilst retaining the magazine at the brand’s core. The talented Cyclist team continuously explore innovative revenue streams to extend the brand’s reach. As a result, brand turnover has increased for the fifth consecutive year.

Congratulations once again to the Cyclist team, and to all of the other winners and nominees. The full list of winners can be found here.
