Dennis Publishing’s Motoring Division wins big at Digital Magazine Awards and Guild of Motoring Writers Awards

Continuing Dennis’s winning streak this year Dennis’s motoring division picked up several more awards last week at the Digital Magazine Awards 2012 and the Guild of Motoring Writers Awards 2012.

evo scooped up the award for Best Motoring Magazine at the Digital Magazine Awards, beating Motor Trend from the USA, Redwood Publishing and Haymarket. The Digital Magazine Awards are international awards celebrating the best magazines, individuals and advertisers from the digital publishing industry.

David Lillywhite, Editor of Octane, won two prestigious awards at the internationally recognised Guild of Motoring Writers Awards. David was awarded PFPR Editor of the year, for his ability to balance the demands of publishers and readers whilst making critical decisions for his publication. And just a few moments later, David was awarded Classic Writer of the Year after being chosen for the best example of an article on the world of classic vehicles.

Jamie Fretwell, products writer at Auto Express & CarBuyer, took home the award for Young Writer of the Year for a second time since 2010. The award recognises Jamie’s ability to demonstrate a combination of thorough research and well-crafted journalism in magazines and online media.
